no. 16: succotash + etsy

We have two places to share with you today: Succotash, a funky breakfast joint in Kansas City, Missouri, & the newest little addition to our lives, our {etsy} shop!

To begin...
We've found that for every place we travel to, our favorite part is the food we eat & the restaurants we visit. I suppose it could be seen as "food snobbery," but we believe that a satisfied palate is an easy way of judging a city's funk & flavor.
Last weekend, Natalie and I took a trip to Kansas City. Our intent was to celebrate six months of marriage and just get out of town for a few days. We stayed with Natalie's cousin, who lives in a cute townhouse in downtown KC with her husband and four-year-old son.

On Sunday morning, after coffee with the family, Natalie and I visited a quirky little restaurant called Succotash. The moment we walked up to the door, we knew we had found the perfect place to have brunch. The restaurant was packed--and for good reason. Succotash is so full of character, from the decorations to the artwork on the walls to the waitstaff. Even the bathrooms were a sight to see. And our food was delicious. Natalie had the standard: biscuits and gravy with two fried eggs over medium. I ate the most delectable wrap that has ever entered my mouth: smoked salmon, spinach, goat cheese and caramelized red onion. I savored every bite. Succotash goes down as one of the best restaurants we have been to.

& To finish...
We've opened up our him + her designs etsy shop & we're so excited to {share} it with you! We now have a new-found respect for those who sell their items on etsy or any online shop. It has taken us many hours to photograph, edit, price, & list each item. Regardless, it is worth it in the end. Sharing our work with you is such a privilege! We are so thankful & humbled by your support. Thanks so much! You are all awesome!
